Women are active at NUMC in meeting together for mission and service opportunities and for Bible study. Several Bible study groups meet at various times during the week.

On Tuesday mornings the Women in Service meet during the winter months to quilt comforters for MCC as well as for fellowship.

On the first Thursday of each month, women of all ages gather together at 9:00 am for a time of fellowship over breakfast, usually at Lawrenceville Restaurant.

The Spiritual Sisterhood meets as occasions arise – a special speaker or a retreat. These events are posted as they come up.

The young women have been inspired by the previous women’s groups which have met for service and fellowship almost since the inception of this church. They will celebrate summer with their annual dinner out, as well as joining all the young adults (and their families) in an afternoon of barbeque and swimming. In the fall, the young women will resume their various Bible studies, service opportunities and the network of support they are for one another.

On a broader scale, women are invited to participate in seasonal events with the Women of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada as well as Mennonite Women Canada, our denominational organizations.

“They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” ~ Jeremiah 17:8
