Emily’s professional background includes skills in office administration, training, customer service, retail sales and operations. Known as a conscientious, flexible self-starter, she enjoys the variety of tasks and challenges that each day brings. Emily started her career in Human Resources and Training. Then along came two beautiful boys and the opportunity to be home with them was too good an opportunity to resist. She spent the next 15 years volunteering at school on the Parent Teacher Association, planning and organizing charity events, sitting on the Niagara-on-the-Lake Minor Softball Board and operating the “Mommy Shuttle” -driving to and from school activities, hockey practices, music lessons and karate classes. When her boys grew up and headed off to high school, the Mommy Shuttle was expanded to include a teenage driver, allowing Mom to spend her days cleaning the house, helping her spouse in his office, learning to play bass guitar, singing and scrapbooking. As much fun as all that is, when the opportunity to return full-time to work presented itself, Emily thought, well let’s try it and see. As they say, “the rest is history” and here she is working at NUMC. She loves that her work days are spent working with an amazing team and being able to serve the members and friends of the congregation by providing support to our volunteers and committees. Feel free to stop by the office and say hello
